>Despite the extreme weather Predictions the weekend got off to a great start with a Circle meeting on the Friday evening entertaining 15 visitors from all Circles in Province. The visitors included Bro. Phil Brown Grand President of the UK and Province 15 Director Bro. David Baldam (Of Welsh extraction and a Welsh Speaker)

Bro. President Chris Ryan of North East Wales supported by Lady President Anne organised an action packed weekend kicking off with a 10 Pin Bowling activity in Flint Leisure centre for which they very kindly paid for out of their own pocket. I am sure donations to Circle funds will follow as a gesture thank you.

Lunch took place at the Springfield Hotel (Our Weekend Base) then we all went to a Vigil Mass at St Davids Pentasaph ( Church attached to the Franciscan Friary).

The Gala Dinner was a very Grand affair and as we entered the Ballroom we were serenaded by a Harpist. Brother President Chris and Wife Anne led in the honoured Guests, the Party consisting of Bro. Grand President Phil Brown and Wife Linda, province 4 Director Bro. Peter Devine and wife Jill, Provincial President Paul Hewitt and wife Lynne.

Bro. Chris and Anne’s family were in attendance in Numbers and included Son , Bro. David Bradford Circle accompanied by wife Anne. The grandchildren were entertained by the release from all tables of whistling balloons flying everywhere (potential Catenian Brothers?). In fact Anne’s own Father was a Former Brother of North Wales so it must run in the Family.

Bro Paul Butler (Birkenhead, Northeast Wales and City of Liverpool) was M.C. for the Night.

One of the many high lights of the Gala was the Presentation of a 50 year Scroll to Bro. John Vickers and Wife Pauline
